The heating surface of the precision hotplates are composed of an efficient heat conducting Aluminium alloy. The surface is smooth, easy to clean, and anodized. The built-in electric long-term heating is designed to provide a very homogeneous temperature distribution even at the corners and edges.
The microprocessor controlled digital regulator allows the operating temperature to be preset in 0.1°C stages up to 99,9°C and in 1.0°C stages for temperatures over 100°C. The set target temperature is retained even after the unit is switched off. Presetting is only possible by using two fingers; this is to prevent any unintentional alterations that could occur by accidentally touching only one key. After releasing the keys, the actual temperature is constantly displayed by 14 mm high digits.
All models have an electronic output control that allows the heating output to be adjusted between 10..100%, this pre- vents the hotplate exceeding the preset temperature and/or avoids any after-heating. The temperature of all hotplates is measured with a built-in, quick-reaction sensor (PT 100).
All types are equipped with a 6-pole extra-low voltage socket to which can be connected, for example a contact thermometer or a timer – to heat and cool the device in intervals; and, temperature fuses for reliable overtemperature protection. Temperature fuses are available in different tripping ranges
Special feature of the precision hotplates:
Due to the asymmetrical, quick-reaction special heating and thermal sensors as well as output adaptation to the thermal requirements, very precise temperatures with a good uniform heat are obtainable over the whole heating surface.
All types are also available with black anodized or teflon-coated heating surface (max. temperature: 260°C) on request.
To ensure the connection to your digital company network and the integration into various automation processes, we are also happy to equip your precision hotplates with various interfaces (e.g., RS485 or RS232).

The table-top devices are manufactured as compact devices, i.e. the control is located directly in the housing under the heating plate. Thus the smallest possible space is taken up. All table-top devices are equipped with an adjustable safety device against overheating (50..300°C or 30..110°C PZ28-1). In the event of a fault, these overheating devices take over a so-called emergency control and thus protect the unit and the material from dangerous temperatures.
Special feature PZ60: This hotplate is equipped with 5 screw-in sockets for support rods, at intervals of 125 mm.

The Type ET precision hotplate with separate control can be used as table-top or built-in device ( table surface flush). They are controlled either by the 2860SR table-top temperature controller, the 2860EB built-in temperature controller, or the PR5-SR program controller. All devices, except the PZ14ET, have a temperature limiter adjustable from 30 – 110°C or 100 – 350°C.
The connection between the hotplate and the controller is made via two 1.5 m silicone-insulated cables (sensor and regulated power cable). These are led out of the heating plate and plugged into the controller.

The PZ44 is a hotplate with automatic control for precise temperatures from 20 to 450°C. The desired temperature is set on the digital controller and is automatically kept constant. The actual temperature is constantly displayed on 10 mm high digits.
The durable electric heater is switchable in three heating levels – 825 – 1650 – 3300 watts. Each heating level set can be further adjusted from 10 to 100% via an electronic power controller to prevent excessive temperature overshoot or to reheat due to excess power. The 825 and 3300-watt heating stages heat the entire surface of the plate. The special 1650 Watt heating level heats only the right half of the plate. Due to creep heat, the temperature then drops by approx. 40% from the right half to the left plate edge (thermal gradient).

High-performance hotplate for temperatures of up to 600°C, short heat-up time (600°C in 20 minutes). Due to the elaborate insulation, the unit can also be placed on heat-sensitive standing surfaces. The insulated hinged lid considerably reduces heat loss. When the lid is closed, a gap of 26 mm (higher lid of request) remains to the heating plate surface, which allows intensive heating of flat parts at exact temperatures. The temperature control is carried out either with a temperature or program controller. The plate is kept constant at a set temperature throughout the entire control range with the temperature controller.
