This is the first bio-printer for biology, biomedicine and food technology in the classroom from SE3D.
Founded by Dr. Mayasari Lim and Dr. Prashanth Asuri, they have started SE3D because they were both passionate about bringing bioprinting technology into the hands of students, generating innovative STEM curriculum and helping schools to create STEM Labs to train the next generation of young scientists and engineers.
Classroom bioprinter for innovative schools, STEM labs and MakerSpaces
The r3bEL is an easy-to-use and affordable desktop bioprinter that is an ideal science lab equipment for future classrooms supporting STEM and STEAM initiatives. Students will experience robotics, engineering, and programming in science based application.
With backing from the National Science Foundation, our mission is to stimulate interest in bioscience to prepare and propel the next generation of biomedical scientists, engineers and innovators.
Technology is really making an impact in the classroom. Dr. Lynn Horton, a science teacher from Winchester Thurston High School shares her excitement and vision on how the r3bEL bioprinter can really help her students in learning science.
